Drawing portraits from a pohotograph is an amazing experiance for me. Maybe due to the amount of time spent trying to get this look in the eyes of the model, he somehow become closer to my heart. Sometimes I feel as if I knew this person better by trying to understand what he felt during the shoot and how to show it in the drawing. Even more interesting feeling accompanies my drawing children. I guess this is because I am still waiting for my very own one and somehow I transfer my love onto the drawing. The similarly special, but maybe more metaphysical experience I get while working on restoring old photographs of people who are no longer alive. It's really amazing.
Rysowanie portretów ze zdjęcia jest dla mnie niezwykłym doświadczeniem. Możliwe że przez ilość czasu, którą spędzam próbując "złapać" to spojrzenie w oczach modela, staje się on jakoś bliższy memu sercu. Czasem czuję się jakbym znała tą osobę lepiej próbując zrozumieć co czuł w trakcie robienia zdjęcia i jak to pokazać w rysunku. Jeszcze ciekawsze uczucie towarzyszy mi gdy rysuję dziecko. Domyślam się że to przez to że sama jeszcze czekam na moje własne i jakoś przelewam moją miłość na rysunek. Podobnie wyjątkowe, choć może bardziej metafizyczne, doświadczenie towarzyszy mi kiedy pracuję nad odnawianiem starych fotografii ludzi którzy już nie żyją. To naprawdę niezwykłe.
